I have maintained an A average for almost my whole school career, I want to go to a college that will give me a good education, but isn't very expensive, and I want to be an engineer who invents and assembles objects.

The answer depends on WHERE in the world you are.

Recommendations are all well and good but if I were to name a good engineering college in the UK it might not help you much...

Inventors tend to be quite maverick sorts and ones who ask a lot of questions. So- engineering college is a good place to start IF you enjoy that sort of things. It really depends on what you are doing at highschool as well.

It seems to me that all colleges are expensive! lol But yeah, some of them are not as expensive as others. It sounds like to me that you need to do some research on the ones available to you. If you can, try to gather information on them, go there if you can and talk to a guidance councelor. They will often talk to people for free, and give you advice on what you should do. I like your idea of being an engineer. Have you gotten any programs for your computer, like for 3D imaging, and stuff like that?

Probally a good school for you is "state school" that has a good engnieering program. In my state, Pennsylvania, we have 12 "state" schools that are around 8,000 a year for instate residents. One of them, Penn State, is Very respected and excellent in many fields, engnieering is one of them.

I would see if your state has a "higher education system" that provides high quality schooling for a discounted price for residents.
