Hi- Im hoping that someone can help me out with this. I am 27 weeks pregnant and when ever my unborn baby hears music or loud noises (like when we go to the local auction) he moves alot and wont stop moving. Why is that? Is he scared, dancing, startled or whats up? I hope he is ok. Its only when noises get louder than normal that he does this.

Also anyone out there got tips or pointers for the rest of my pregnancy or motherhood that can help me out? This will be my first.

Most of the time your baby is sleeping. Loud noises are most likely waking him up and he becomes active(moving). If its not hurting your ears its not hurting his so don't worry.

Nothing to worry about. Your baby is hearing sound for the first time, and the movement is just a reaction. Mine does the same thing. I love when I am riding in the car, listening to loud music and my little one starts tumbling around. It brings a certain reality to the little life growing inside me.

As for advice. Never stop worrying and questioning things that you are not sure about. It is sign of a good parent. There is nothing wrong with not knowing everything about being a parent, as long as you are willing to learn. Good luck with your baby boy, I am sure you will be a wonderful mother!

My tip is to get a body pillow or if your going to nurse and expensive gift to your self is a back n belly contoured body pillow. This pillow looks so great, I'm going to buy one with my next baby. You can look at it at http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2267436&cp=2255982.2256366&parentPage=family

I noticed that if I was sitting quiet watching a movie and suddenely the movie made a loud noise, it would seem to startle or wake the baby up.

the baby is startled at first, you have to remember when your baby hears noises they will react it's fun till they decide to climb into your ribcage. just rub your stomach and talk to your stomach and let the baby know everything is ok and reasure them it's all ok.
