I have read in one of my pregnancy books that generally the father gene is the strongest. Altho on occasion it turns out not to be but my sister is half spanish and all THREE of her boys have pure light blonde hair and blue eyes and look almost identical to their father! I honestly thought her dark looks would dominate but this hasn't happened, now im 28wks pregnant and was actually thinking the same. I am half spanish (my dad's spanish) and my fiancé has blonde hair and blue eyes. I think my baby will have blonde hair and blue eyes also. Altho my sister feels that if she were to give birth to a girl then the girl would take more of her looks than his (hope u undertood that!)

Black hair is dominant to blonde, but dominance matters little where certain genes are concerned. My father's eyes are blue, and my mother's are brown. Brown is dominant to blue. Still, I was born with blue eyes. What's more--both my parents were brunet, yet I was born a strawberry blonde!

its true that certain genes are dominant over others, but that just means that you have an increased chance of the baby having that feature.... my husband is average height, dark complected, black hair, brown eyes (hes got alot of native american in him)... i am tall, light complected, dark brown hair, green eyes...and we are both thin and our hair is straight....we have 4 children heres what they ended up with :

baby#1: short, thin, dark brown hair, brown eyes, dark complexion
baby#2: short, thin, blond hair, green eyes, light complexion
baby#3: tall, very big boned (the kids a monster), black curly hair, blue eyes, dark complexion
baby#4:tall, thin, lt brown curly hair, hazel eyes, medium complexion

as you can see its completely random, and babys can get features that even their parents dont have (recessive traits from previous generations)

due to your husband being hispanic, I believe your child will have dark hair (black).

Black is dominant over blonde.
