This boy likes me and i definitely like him too. i need help!!?

he's 4.0 student and in middle school band just like me and he wants to go out with me and i told him that i wanted to also, but something is holding him back.his parents' are perfectionists and he gets ground for stupid stuff like getting a B on a test. could it be his parents, or does he just want to stay friends?can i make him rebel?

Well it could just be his parent's or he could be scared that if he dates you that if you break up he will loose you as a friend and he might not want to ruin your friendship. But then again it could definitely be his parents... do what you think. I wish you the best of luck!
