No. The closest Six Flags owned park to San Diego is Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia.
Six Flags will not be building, or buying any new parks in the near future because of a massive multi-billion dollar debt. They have, so far, sold 6 or 7 of their parks to relieve some of this debt. It is this reason that Six Flags will not expand for the next several years, but rather sell some properties they already own.

I understand both the reputation and operation of the one in Valencia, ca. has gone downhill...a move such as this would not surprise me...the San Diego area is one of the nicest travel destinations in the continental U. S. I lived and worked there for close to 20 years, best climate in continental USA for year round outdoor endeavors!!!

They may be opening a Park there.
There are six flags parks all over the country.
Nothing like the original in Arlington, Tx.!
* Six Flags owns and operates 27 parks in North America, including 15 of the United State's largest theme parks
* The world's first Six Flags theme park opened in 1961, on a little patch of prairie land between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Angus Wynne created Six Flags Over Texas, the world's first regional theme park.
* The name "Six Flags" refers to the six countries or nations whose flags flew over Texas during the state's colorful history, which also provided the six themed sections of Six Flags Over Texas: the United States, the Confederate States, Mexico, Spain, France and the Republic of Texas.
* Six Flags Over Texas was the world's first "pay-one-price" theme park. In 1961, Six Flags Over Texas introduced the one-price admission at $2.95 including tax. This type of pricing was a revolutionary concept at the time. Soon after, parks around the country were following Six Flags Over Texas in implementing a one-price admission.
* Nearly the entire U.S. population — 95 percent — lives within an eight-hour drive of a Six Flags park.
* Six Flags guests know the importance of making time for play. Last year, fun seekers spent a combined 250 million hours at
Six Flags parks. If one person tried to spend that much time at the park themselves, they'd be more than 28,000 years old!
* Six Flags has more coasters than all other theme park companies in the world combined. Six Flags operates 160 world-class coasters at its 27 parks, and those coasters travel almost
2.5 million miles each year. That's equivalent to 100 orbits around the earth or a trip to the moon.
