he's 4.0 student and in middle school band just like me and he wants to go out with me and i told him that i wanted to also, but something is holding him back.his parents' are perfectionists and he gets ground for stupid stuff like getting a B on a test. could it be his parents, or does he just want to stay friends?can i make him rebel?

YOu cannot make him do anything he does not want to do so don't even try. If he says it is his parents you have to take him at his word on that and don't try to second guess if he wants to be friends or not. If he does want to simply be your friend and is using the parents as an excuse so be it that is his way of telling you then. Do not force something that cannot be. It is what it is. Life it going to be like that. We want a guy, have to have him, try to change him...story of many women's lives. Don't let it happen to you.

you shouldn't make him a rebel because one's ur used to the stuff he is it doesn't bother him and well it hard to rebel against ur parents when u've never done so. and well i think that u should tell him that if he really does like you why you aren't going out if he tells you some lame excuse like its because i don't want to ruin our friendship he really doesn't like you trust me this is from experience

have u talked to him about it yet? because maybe u 2 could make a solution 2gether, try calling him.
