Bank Manager?

Regarding half full/empty glass, I will neither debate nor dispute whether it is half full or half empty because they cancel each other out and you wind up with nothing! Well liquids evaporate remember!

I'm an optimist so I always say the glass has room for another half which has no margin for dispute! :) Alternatively...
there is room for a 100% supplement!
or room for 100% positive gain!
If it contains a hot beverage it is also ideal for those with longer noses!

I must also point out that the glass can be neither half full nor half empty, it can until the nature of any suspected contents are disclosed only be deemed empty , otherwise the glass is either empty or full! If full, it contains half one substance and the other half another substance perhaps a gas, likely air!

Furthermore:
it is neither half full nor half empty ... .it is merely too big for it's chosen contents!

Or possibly the answer really comes down to "Who is pouring... and who is drinking."

Maybe?
the glass is half full. half empty is stupid.
half empty = 1/2*0 = 0 ?

Sometimes
the glass is only half-full when there's something really gross in the glass...(Yeak!)

Waiter
Regardless of whether the glass is half full or half empty, you can be sure that the waiter spit in your beverage.

Customer
Spitting in my beverage would be a deal breaker. No tip for you.

The Pessimist
I'm a pessimist, so I don't like the glass, I don't like what's been put in it, even so, I don't like the fact that I've only been given half what it should be.

The Hygienist
You call this glass clean?

Finaly
the answer is obvious when looked at from a different perspective. If someone were on a trip and they were at the halfway mark, are they half way back or halfway there? It's all about direction which is determined by previous circumstances. How did the water get to this point? If the glass was full and half of it was poured out it was on it's way to being emptied. So it is half empty. The same if it was empty and then being filled and stopped half way it is half full. The halfway term is deceptive

Someone who is always negative is a pessimist. They always look for the bad side of people or things. They are not fun to be around.

The word that first comes to my mind is pessimist. This is a person who always sees the bad side of things. For example instead of the glass is half full, a pessimist would think the glass is half empty.
