LOL. I see it as a to do list too. I think it is one. A law etc.

It shouldn't be like a list of chores. The 10 Commandments are Holy Rules and should be honored without thinking and trust the word of God.

1-4 Can be shortened to: Love God above all.
5-10 Can be shortened to: Treat others like you want to be treated (or treat others the way Jesus would treat)

That's why Jesus did ... he made the 10 Commanments into the Two Great Commandments. Guess he was just "Keeping it Simple Stupid" (KISS).
