Before you shave make sure you lather up your pits with soap and warm water, ensure that the area stays moist for a couple minutes before shaving then use a shaving gel or cream to shave the area. The bumps your referring to are called razor burn and are very common and most unsightly and uncomfortable. They may also be ingrown hairs, make sure to exfoliate even under your arms to prevent them. Try a loofah. They are wonderful for the prevention of ingrown hairs.

Let it grow out some and use clippers to cut them. My wife had the same problem and was told by her doctor that shaving your underarms and applying deodorant over time could even cause breast cancer.

they are just razor bumps, it means that your skin was cut and irritated by the razor you used. try using shaving cream when you shave and your skin will not be cut as often, thus resulting in less bumps

I think the problem is not enough moisture when you shave almost like you are dry shaving. Use some shaving cream!!

Those are ingrown hairs. Shaving can do this on any part of the body. God Bless Waxing !

It's probably just skin irritation. I get it this time of year on my legs and arms too, just red rashy things, it's just because it's winter and shaving just makes it worse. Maybe lotion them afterwards before deodorant.
