There is real compelling evidence that this is true.
Resent descoveries show this has happened before many times.
Newly discovered scientific evidence shows that the world as we know it is about to come to an unexpected end; however, knowing what's coming over the horizon is only the tip of the iceberg; understanding WHY presents a picture far greater than you could have imagined.
Global catastrophic events throughout our past have severed the flow of information from one generation to the next, creating permanent gaps in history and knowledge. Civilizations that came before us knew of the upcoming inevitable catastrophe, leaving behind major clues that have just been recently discovered. The knowledge that was once lost is the missing link that provides a clear understanding of how our world truly operates. Ironically, these clues also inform us that time is running out; sooner than you may believe.
Understand what is about to happen but more importantly HOW and WHY.
Many people refuse to look at the evidance presented because it dosn't fit into their life plans.
It's time everyone makes peace with their maker and prepair themselves for a new life in the spiritual realm.
Be at peace, It's almost time for the greatiest adventure of all time. Embrace the moment and know this is not the end, only the end of time.

No. to all four questions
don't believe that the world will end in 2012.
don't believe that the world will stop and turn the other way and have an effect on everything.
don't believe that anything else may happen.
don't believe the end of the world will coincide with the olympics in 2012.
Why? - Do you have plans for the Olympics in London in 2012?

that is not true, however, there are many specualtions on this subject, as I have asked this question to many myself. Some belive that the ancient Myans will be correct in predicting the end of the Earth in 2012. In accordance to that, they predicted the time by looking at the stars, and today's scientists say that they were but 30 seconds from the actual time. Perhaps then, they are 30 months off of the date of the end of the earth. So my guess would be that if they're prediction is correct, the actual date would be hard to determine as it would be sometime between 2011 and 2014. It would be helpful to gather the information from those scientific studies to see if they were 30 seconds slow or 30 seconds fast. Many though say that the Myans did not even predict this, that 2012 is just as far as they went into their calendar, but then I ask this, why would the Myans complete they're calender all the way to 2012 when they had no chance of living for that long. Feel free to email me at jsangel456@yahoo.com if you would like to know anything more or if you would like to ellaberate more on this "backwards spinning" bull.....lol ^_^

Does it matter what people believe? Before the world ends, there will a thousand year reign by Jesus the Christ of God, before that, a seven-year Tribulation period. There is no way we are in the Tribulation period, because no one is going to wonder if we are in it when it comes! After the world ends, it will be refined and remade as a nice, perfect, brand new one, so don't worry. If the world could stop and turn the other way in 2012 and ended and all of that, it sure would put a damper on the Olympics.

It is not that the world will end but rather it is raising its frequency and thus everything's consciousness is raising. The world is "turning" but not the opposite way but rather tilting. The north and south poles are swithing sides and this is causing good and bad out comes. A bad outcome is that the earth's grid is no longer where it was, so the animals that migrate that used to follow this grid to get to new places are now ending up else-where. An example would be whales. They grid used to lead them to other parts of the world but is now leading them to land. That is why we are finding more and more beached whales, and no matter how many we save, they will re-align with the grid and end up beached once more. An up-side to this would be we as humans being able to "open up" new parts of our brain. They are finding we are becoming much more psychic and sensitive to the changes of earth. I have LOTS more info but it is too much to write. If you would like to know more and have me send you some links and articles, email me at squirreltacular23@yahoo.com. The info i have has to do with this and other changes happening to the earth. i also have a lot of info on what will happen in 2012. ex: the mayans predicted that it will be the dawn of a great new beginning. so email me.

The world is always ending for someone or something. There are many interesting theories and predictions. For many of us the truth being foretold won't make much of a difference when it does happen. There is another prediction in regards to the Yellowstone Super Volcano in Sept. 2009.Maybe we'll be having the Winter Olympics all year by 2012 anyway?

Rubbish, just like the Millennium Bug supposedly causing the end of the world as we know it via messing with technology.
Fact is, we don't know when the world is going to end, although global climate change will probably have some impact. There have always been those who believed they would see the end of the world in their lifetime, frankly, I think it's arrogance, coming from those who find it hard to envision a world without themselves in it.

The world will not End in 2012 because according to Nostradamus the Planet should have officially died in 2005?!
Stop believing in ridiculous ideas and start to think about reincarnation!? You know "de Ja vou" isn't usually a co-incidence?! because you have seen (?) and argue-ed this argument before!! So were we here before? Probably.......
