What are some unusual sports - how are they played?

In the Navy I was introduced to a game called "push ball". It was played in a gym w a large ball about six feet in diameter that was made of leather or something similar and was inflated, but had some weight to it and not a lot of "give" when you applied pressure to it.

The object of the game was to push the ball across the length of the gym & past the opponent's goal line (on each end of the gym)by the members of each team simply pushing (duh) the ball toward their objective.

As I recall there were like 10 people on each team , & the game was decided when one team scored ten goals. It was a very challenging game, as often, with about 5 guys pushing from either side the ball would elevate from their attempts, & come back down headed who knew what direction.

That was in 1975 & I haven't seen the game since. Good Luck!!
