Save up until you can buy a paperback dictionary. Failing that, learn how to use spell check.

Here are some steps to writing an essay:

1.) Decided what your essay will be about. Be specific. Don't say animals, say, elephants. You can get even more specific than that, if you want and say: the family dynamics of elephant groups.

2.) Now that you have a topic, say it in an introductory sentence. Say something like "The family dynamics of elephant groups is similar to that of human groups", or something like that.

3.) Make and introductory paragraph. Write a few sentences explaining your introductory sentence. Include why you think it's similar to humans, and how you are going to show that they are. Tell the reader what the essay will be about.

4.) Choose your topic's subtopics. In our example Bull Elephants, Matriarchs, babysitting, and baby elephants would be appropriate.

5.) Decide what order you want to tackle these subtopics. A good rule is to write about your strongest / most important point first, you second strongest / most important point last, and your middle points to be in reverse order. Example you have 5 paragraphs, put them in order of 1 5 4 3 2. This is because people remember what they hear first and last. If your strongest points are first and last they will remember those more than the other paragraphs. You also want an essay to build upward, so that the more the teacher is reading, the more he/she is getting impressed.

6.) Write a conclusion paragraph. It will be very similar to your introductory paragraph. Sum up your main points, and your position.

7.) Spell check - teachers don't like spelling mistakes

8.) Get somebody else to read it over, and see what they think is missing or should be changed. A parent or an older sibling is good for this.

9.) Make any revisions that need to be made.

10.) Read it over

11.) When you are happy with your essay - hand it in.

You need to organize your essay. This is a major step in making yourself write better. For example you need to write an essay about dogs.
So In paragraph One you would give an introduction with a thesis, what you want to prove, for example that the Alaskan Husky is the best dog there is.
In the second paragraph you would introduce the husky and its roots and say why its the best
In the third paragraph you would give examples to prove your thesis.
And so on.

Another thing is there are different essay types. What i mean is that an English essay and a History essay are two different things. The best thing i can tell you to do, is to organize and practice.
When i entered HS i wasnt a good essay writer. My teacher made us write an essay about every two weeks and would grade them as tests. Pretty soon i was writing some good essays.
If you do not have the time, or just dont want to write essays for the heck of it, then dont worry, It will come to you one day when you are writing an essay.- You will find a better way of puting what you want to say.

Hope it helped and good luck

well first of all, you "write" essays, not "right" or "make" them.
then you have to know what you're writing about, you know, all the facts and your thoughts and such.
finally you have to be able to put it all together so that it sounds good. have a good introductory paragraph that catches the reader's attention, then good body paragraphs that support the main point, and finally a strong concluding paragraph to wrap it all up.
the different parts and details depend on the type of essay you're writing. for example, for interpretive essays and such, you need a good thesis statement which contains the main point of your essay. for narrative essays you need a strong message in your concluding paragraph to connect to your reader.
