The dress is satin and I would not call it dark tan or light tan...just tan. It definately does not look white or cream. Is it ok to wear the dress to a wedding?

Definately. You certainly can wear tan, just don't wear white.

I would stick with a darker colour of dress. Don't go with a colour that is close/closer to the brides dress. Best to stick with plum, dark purple, brown, eggplant or any other darker colour
