I recently got a 2003 Honda accord LX V6, with 85000 miles, but I get poor gas mileage out of it. 15.5 MPG.

I know my driving pattern is not ideal for MPG. I drive to work which is around 2 miles away in the morning and drive back home at night. The car doesn't even get warmed up when I get to work. I live in a small town, so my average speed is 30 miles.

All these said, only 15.5 MPG?!!!

You need to maintain your car, not just add gas and change the oil. try a full tune up. fuel and air filters, spark plugs and wires, cap and rotor, and add fuel system cleaner to the tank. it will cost you about $80 to do this but you'll sav that much in 6 months just in gas. Plus your car will last longer

Sounds good to me, a little over a gallon for gas to drive to work all week, most people use a gallons a day. Get bicyle and leave the car at home.

That is pretty bad. Are you really lead-footing it?

There's no CEL or anything? No sensors or filter bad or anything like that? You're current on service? Good tire pressure?
