well it is not healthy to be obese. but the media and a lot of other people think it is fun to pick on people. i say GROW UP. can we all just reconize we are all different. I like to be different, and had many types of friends, and I was no where near popular. But i think i would be a different person. the media feeds on differences and brings down there self esteem. I think Tyra is a good woman ( though I don't know her personally) and her self esteem was brought to a low. I think all people should be treated fair because we are all different, but we all put our pants on one leg at a time.

I agree, I do think that the media did took the situation to far and blow it out of proportion. But Tyra looks great because she is healthy, curvy, and beautiful woman of her height and age. But she was a little over the top and whiny about the situation. I don't like that she claim that is strong and confident black woman but stood their with bleach blond hair, come on. Just let it go and move on. Besides she should be use to it by now.

I feel so bad for her. I don't think she's taking it too far. She just wants everyone to know that she doesn't have to be as thin as paper to look great! She did gain a little weight, but no one should care. She still looks great! She can pull off a little weight gain! I mean, she's Tyra Banks!

When you think your life is below average or sucks completely and you get to thinking how beautiful, super and whiz-bang cool a celeb's life must be---take a cold, hard look at Tyra Banks, Lindsey Lohan and / or Rosie O' Donnell.
Just these three prime examples are enough to prove life in public light isn't so sweet n' cheery as it all seems--and your life doesn't seem so bad after all!!
Focus more on bettering YOUR life and pay less attention to these over-rated, talentless "new guard" of celebrities--trust me: they aren't worth our $$$$ or time.

Actually the pics of her were real and they were on the cover of the National Enquirer. What she is upset about is the media calling her fat when it's obvious she's not. She knows that she has a lot of young girls who look up to her and if they think she's fat then what will they want to look like. Her heart is very much in the right place. Like she said if she had no self esteem she would be starving herself.
It's weird, I'm fighting cancer and I'm 5/7 and weigh 105 right not and believe it or not I've had people walk up to me and tell me I should get help for my eating disorder...I usually just pull off the wig or cap and tell them I'm dying so back off...
What I'm saying the world seems way to fixated on weight issues. What leads these people to think they have the right to judge other peoples bodies...weather they are a super model or just a girl fighting for her life.

I feel that now that she is a talk show host..She can use that to her advantage...If you or anyone was a talk show host..and you were pissed at someone...Wouldn't you use that to your advantage...Tyra will always be beautiful regardless of what size she is..She is a curvy woman...and the thing is that if she never said anything...The modeling industry would of never changed their rules recently..Thanks to Tyra...things are now changing...Now little girls can see that you don't have to try to be like Kate Moss to be a model...being healthy and looking healthy is the way to go..and looking scarily thin is not healthy...So I commend Tyra...Thin or curvy...I commend any model

My thoughts are, that even a model can be insecure. I think those pictures of Tyra were actually real photos and she's really upset because they were making her out to be a fat cow, when she's a beautiful woman and looks normal because she actually has a little flesh. I think she just got pissed and got her feelings hurt.

I THINK SHES INSECURE BECAUSE SHE'S GAINED LIKE 15 POUNDS SINCE SHE STOPPED MODELING .. BUT SHES MAKING IT WORSE ON HERSELF BECAUSE SHES GOING ON TV AND RADIO TALKING ABOUT IT LIKE A MILLION TIMES!! SHE SHOULD BE USED TO IT BY NOW, SHE'S A CELEBRITY. BUT SHE IS A GORGEOUS WOMAN WITH OR WITHOUT THE 15 POUNDS. AND SHE DEF. IS TAKING IT TOO FAR!! LET IT GO TYRA!!!!

She's got a platform. Its not that bad, she's trying to make a point that its ok not to be a stick. Its not as annoying to me as say Posh Spice this week, who said she was banning size 0 models from working for her, when she is like a negative size!
