The Shasta Daisy ...it's a beautiful flower. It's also the name of the street I grew up on for 28 years and where I had the most wonderful childhood. It was my mom's favourite flower and now my dog is named Shasta!

Bearded Irises....my grandmother raised acres of Irises in all different colors. She knew how to blend the bulbs to make new multi-colored (2-color) ones. She also wrote a flower column for a magazine. Wish I had learned from her before she passed away.
