I need help please help me. Im 16. HOw should I run away and how? I have to do this. Where should I go? When?

Some people will never undersatand. hop a train if you can. Dont commit any serious crimes if get charged as adult..bad. other than that petty stuff gets juvenille no big at your age. Always act sick, to keep sickos away. When it gets cold your own body heat is best protection, wrap up in anything and stay low. If dont want to sleep on streets in box ect. can usually just climb up and sleep on roofs of shopping centers ( it keeps you hidden, gives privacy, and can steal warmth from ducts). Make sure you take all your papers with you(birth certificate, social) in case you wanna rejoin society, get job ect. Get used to eating food WHEREver you can find it ...garbage cans....cornfields. carry water bottles can fill up almost anywhere. take a good bedroll with you and a couple sets of clothing, but not too much you will need to remain light. make use of homeless shelters where you can for showers and maybe change of clothes...if you do be respectful to these people. Could say its a hard life but its actually just sort of lazy, but it is very gritty and socially taboo and you should think about that before you make hasty decisions. Depending on your situation you may have many different options afforded to you. i.e. a guardians home(ouch), relatives, or maybe just working out the situation you are in now. Im just trying to answer the question you asked cuz ive been there, but if you are wanting alternatives there are many other people responding on this. good luck

I seriously would not recommend running away at 16 but if you have no alternative there are a few things you need. You can't get anywhere without money so I'd recommend saving up, getting money out of savings account or getting a job. You will also need somewhere to stay so if it is just short term a hotel would be ok. If it is for quite a while you might need your own place so you could get a cheap flat and a job.
As to where to go, I don't know where you live so I am only giving examples here. If you live in the UK you can get a train to another city like if you live in London you could go to Sheffield. If you live in the US I'd go somewhere in the same state where you are now so you know where you are sort of. Go when you have enough money for a few months rent, food, utlility bills etc. Make sure you finish school because without an education your not going to get far in life.
Again, I seriously would not recommend running away but if you do tell someone so if there is an emergency you can be contacted.

A 16-year-old out on the Street is bad news. If the reason you're running a way is because you're being abused talk to the police or a counselor. Get a hold of an aunt, uncle, or grandparent. A family member will help you resolve this problem, whatever the problem is, without you ruining your life.
Living on the Street you end up without an education, on drugs or being prostituted by someone older than yourself.

okay so you go to school then right? if you do then walk there or say you have a ride and pack your backpack with stuff and then walk somewhere for the next 7 hours. then call your parents and tell them your gonna stay after school for a little while. if you know they won't let you or you don't wanna take the risk then just keep going. cut off your hair or dye it. change your style. put on makeup. get a tan. do anything to make yourself unnoticeable.
you should try and make it to new york on trains or walking. not buses, they'll catch you.
oh and try to join a gang so that you get protection and stuff. or brin a friend.

Well, If you tell your parents you know where he ran away too, try to imagine their reaction. If the are strict or nice or whatever. It is not a tattle tale because where ever he is, he might get hurt. It is for his own safety. Do what your heart thinks you should do but remeber the Pros and Cons of this situation. Running away from your problems is never the anser. Take some time to think about what your doing. Don't act before you think. Think before you act! There are a lot of crazy people out there and you can get killed. IF you have problems at home go to a conselor (sp?)they can help you they really can.
But if you NEED to do this...
You need money. You won't get anywhere without it. Make sure you leave a note so your parents don't think your kidnapped. Go to a friedns or relatives or to a place you would like to live your life.
Rent and apartment............ Perhaps take a friend or someone whos as willing to get away as you.

WHY DO YOU NEED TO RUN AWAY? You need to include that in your question. If your being beaten, molested or mentally hurt, then I could see going somewhere else. But you need to include WHY in your question. If you aren't being abused and are just depressed and sad - Get over it. You'll only make your parents VERY SAD. Being a teen is hard. I know, but things will get better. Now ask another question and include why you want to run away.

Don't run away. There's other options you can look into. You need to find some help maybe from a counselor or someone you trust. If you're being mistreated at home there are people who can help you and get you somewhere safe.

You better not you will be reported as a run away and then end up in the system and you don't want that..There are all kinds of crazy people out there that could pick you up and kill you so you better just stay at home where you will be safe..

I wish you could give us a reason why you want to run away.
Are you being abused? Does this have to do with love? Have you done something wrong?
Runing away wouldn't fix anything, and you would need a place to live and work..how about school?
Please stop for a minute and think. If you're being abused your best choice is to go to the authorities and ask for help!
