don't worry so much about messing up!! !ts only a grade and so what if you say, umm, or uh or like. Its not the end of the world. Do your best that you can do and relax and breath. Remember everyone is good at something and maybe you will excel in other areas

Try to talked outloud the night b4, and give yourself a view of what is like to give a speech.

Try to give one with your family first. And they can tell you how well you fare on it.

Once you tried to talked outloud either to your family or to a mirror. You know or you will be a bit ease when you speak infront of your class.

Before you go on, you might want to breathe and count to 10. Or do some stretch before hand.

Once you are in front of the class. take a deep breathe and then focus on people that are friend to you, and go from there!

Good Luck.
Use the tips i have given to you. and You'll do well
I have actually taken a Briefer class ...and those are the tips, and they work well for me, So i figure you will do well too!
Just practice , practice, and more practice!

There are a couple of methods I used in school speech. I would stand before the class to do my speech and do several deep breathings while looking at the audience. Second I would try to find a place one the back wall to focus on when I had to look at the people. Another one is to try and picture the ugliest person in you audience naked which will actually make you laugh and calm down.

Well i really dont have a problem being in front of crowds but when your being graded on it it makes it a lot worse and i thin that picking one person to kind of talk to for a lot of the speech really helps like there the only one listening and nobody else is there (it really helps if you focus on a friend) but dont stare at them the whole time drift a little.

In addition to the advice of some of the other posts, you should remember that it's okay to briefly pause. When you have the desire to say "like, umm, uh" just trying pausing, and then continue when you're ready to say the next thing.
