My parents took me and my brother to Lincoln Park often in the 40' and early 50's; it was our favorite outing. The Roller coaster, and the Tilt-A-Whirl were my favorites. My favorite food treat was the clam fritters which were served with malt vinegar back then. I often think back on those carefree days. I DO need to make some of those clam fritters. Later, in my teens, I loved to go roller skating at the Lincoln Park rink.

We lived in East Bridgewater and went to Horseneck Beach several times each summer. We always ended our day with a trip to Lincoln Park. The Clambake Pavillion had many celebrities from the Ed Sullivan and Lawrence Welk shows. My favorite memory is of the fun house. They had this real creepy laughing woman in the window outside! When you went in it was like a hall of mirrors. At the end you sat on a what looked like a school bus bench. All of a sudden the seat collapsed onto a conveyor belt sending you out some door with plastic strips hanging down ending the ride. Something you never forget!
