Why do some women think that male ballet dancers are gay?
As a dancer i can say that most of us are but who did we get the steroytype?

I for one don't think all male ballet dancers are gay. There are numerous famous male ballet dancers that are not gay. As for the stereotype that they are, I think it comes from the fact that ballet is graceful and elegant. Things like tights, tutus; you instantly think of girls or even the music itself. And when a person sees a guy in ballet, they therefore instantly think that he must be gay to have any interest in "prancing" around in tights to classical music. Just my opinion though, you don't have to agree.
Oh and most football coaches have their players take a few ballet classes to help them with agility, and fast feet maneuvers

I am a practicing danseur (since 1980) and I would have to say I'm straight! ( After this many years, I think I would know!) Gay male ballet dancers do exist and over the years, I have worked with my share of them. However, for every one of them, I have also worked with at least 1-2 that were straight. I would dare to say that most (if not all) of the gay dancers I have worked with, would have wound up that way whether or not they had ever set foot in a ballet class!

I'm a dancer myself and most of the guys at my studio are gay, but are guys at school that play football, their coaches have requested the guys to take ballet for some very odd reason.

i think that ballet men are the MOST INTELLIGENT men in the WHOLE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.
why you ask?
ok i'll tell you.
lets say your a guy ballet dancer, and you are gay.
this is probably one of the number one places to find other good looking, in shape, gay men.
dood, they are EVERYWHERE.
or scenario dos... you are a straight man dancing ballet, and you are constantly surrounded by beautiful, in shape, straight women. and from my point of view, and from many other dancer girls i know, straight ballet guys are HOT!

I don't think male ballet dancers are gay.
But I'll tell ya one thing: If I dropped my keys and one of them was around, I wouldn't bend over to pick them up.
My personal opinion. Feel free to differ.

women think they are gay because they wear tights
- women wear tights: but men don't find it strange: only sexy!
possibly it was people being nasty to you lot vy taking the micky cos of the tights!

no, they are not gay. they just show a love for dancing. personally, i think they look very nice, because of the muscles in their legs and arms.
