service providers are mostly lowly paid job and there is no hope as long as the foreigners keep coming and taking the lower paid jobs. I will give you a simple scenario for a restaurant; you pay thousands for rent, electricity & gas, advertisement, food & beveage materials, equipments and all these costs comes with GST. You have to pay them or otherwise their ervices will be dicontinue. The only way is to recover costs by emplying foreigners with low salary or some desperate Singaporeans. They know the salary does not even thier daily necessities but it is better than npthing. What would you expect from this staff where thier mind is always occpied to pay thoer bills. They get agitated and tell off customers f they are not happy. It is just ike passing thier problem to teh customers. I have no hope that you will get good service in Sngapoe as long as we are lowly paid. In HK a Philipine domestice worker get $700.00 and whta SIngapore Philipine domestic workers gets? You answer this pls.

Singapore services still have a long way to go...

I cant say all service not good... 60% with a smile and greet you.. 40% without a smile.... Well, those 40% are either cause by their employer or are just moody on that day..... In South East Asia, We still have a long way to go...

You will see the above percentage in countries like Malaysia, thailand etc.... But do not worry, In Asia, we are not the worst.... China and Hong KOng are worst...

Employers here play a very big part.... They should train their employees and also treat them good... I see lots of employers treat their employees worst then a dog... Do you think the service will be good????

Look, a better incentive will make employees serve good and this will help too..

Singapore i cant say is worst.. but at least still have room to improve.....To make 100% service good, we got to wait 5 more years? As the good service program just started..... Let them learn..... Their service not good, sales will be bad too... They got to sit down and think where the problems went wrong..

Good luck to SEA... You got to win Japan.. hehe
