What ever your views on Spurs they are under achieving with the squad that they have, Jol has spent millions over the last couple of years, and considering their form of lately and their position in the league, do you think it's a matter of time before he's sacked?

red devil.. I'm a gooner! I'm asking this without malice, I just think another manager would have taken them further with the squad they have... I'm happy for him to stay and spoill their chances, If I were a spurs supporter I'd be dissapointed with him!

Today's performance was started by rough play all around on the pitch, but Jol's decision to change out strikers (granted RK may bring some energy to the game), but the problem is in the back. Ronaldo had the backs split, regardless of if he was going to score on PK or in full play. The last 3 were on poor marking and overcommitting to the ball. If anything, change shape and go 3 up top or 4-3-1-2 so you can move forward w/ more pressure. Jol's chances are up, and this game proved he isn't going to bring this club to greatness.

Jol has now gotta show his motivational and managerial skills and i reckon hell pass this test that awaits him . Sure hes made mistakes all managers do and we are sadly lacking a back-bone and become a team that loses too easily. Sure were missing Ledley King, but we cant keep using that as an excuse and i don't reckon hell play again this season.
I still reckon though well win the Uefa Cup as were allowed more time on the ball in Europe than in the Premiership.
I reckon alot of players will be out of the exit door at the Lane before Jol and hell be given till end of next season to get it right.
If of course he hasn't by then hell be sacked and rightly so.
We need a 'nasty' player in the team like Joey Barton who can motivate the players on the pitch and get stuck in when needed.

Spurs lack backbone, and they won't be showing backbone by sacking Jol at the first sign of trouble (as they did with George Graham). They need to reflect on whether Jol has a long-term plan for the club, from worldwide scouting of talent, youth team, reserves to first team, to a settled pattern of play that runs through all levels. If he does, he should stay. If he doesn't, then they should get someone that does.
The secret of Wenger and Ferguson's reigns is that the managers have built up the whole infrastructure of the club over many years, and have a clear pattern of play.

jol is getting close to sack, needs to install some belief in the squad. you made some good points, but the fact is spurs overachieved last season. he still has time to salvage the season with the fa and eufa cup, also bringing in a new manager at this stage would probably unsettle the team even more.

I don't see why he would get sucked as I believe he's done so well for the club and still doing that unfortunately they lost against the mighty Man U. I think this is what soccer is all about because when you look at how good Man U are I don't think anyone would ever predict or believe in the prediction that they would loose in both ties against Arsenal...
All spurs fan need is faith and things will go their way... I personally don't see why they wouldn't play the final of UEFA Cup.
Good Luck, Spurs!!!

I think he will be sacked after season 2007/2008. He has spent a lot of money on players that have not prove their worth. Even though it is not entirely Jol's fault, he should get sacked.

Why should he get sacked? He's better than Glenn Hoddle, better than David Pleat and has made them a great team that they'd never have been if he weren't boss. I agree he bought rubbish players last summer and they're showing that. He needs to sell them this summer and buy decent players to replace them.

any chance this is a result of a certain FOUR-NIL thrashing today??
don't sack the manager...his millions could not withstand an onslaught from the best team in europe....no fault of his - spurs, feel proud to have been beaten by us (u could have sacked him if west ham had beaten u ;)
rooney, larsson, ronaldo, giggs and the list goes on ........spurs had no chance even before the match began
