Interesting question. The neocons are best linked to creating an American Empire, conservative christian groups are best linked to efforts to deny gay rights. "Liberal" media bias is a term used by conservatives in contrast to the view of liberals that the media is conservative and issues are hand picked by the few.
I would suppose that the parade of anti-gay propoganda would begin with the christian conservative groups that have money to fund media campaigns. These groups would also seem to fund political campaigns for candidates who are anti-gay. Therefore the parade of gay rights must begin in the media.

maybe the cheating Edwards could fight to change the law so that no one --- including himself --- could cheat America out of medicare taxes.

its short for "Neo-Conservative"
Neo-Conservatism, by definition, is 'An intellectual and political movement in favor of political, economic, and social conservatism.'
Just because it has "Con" in it ... doesnt mean its "bad"..
con is short from conservative..
