Which country is the most tolerant?

to other races and religions? I read so many racist comments on here, from both white people and black people. There are not a huge number of other races living where I do, but there are some. In school I was friends with an Indian boy, a chinese girl and a girl from the Phillapines. They never got any trouble off anybody, there was never a racial incident at all at my school. I know there is some racism around here but not to the extent of anything I have read on here. I live in Wales and I think it is a pretty tolerant place. Maybe it's because I live in a quiet town. We recently had alot of Polish immigrants come here to work and there hasn't been any trouble. Where do you think is the most tolerant palce in the world? Or do you think racism is everywhere?

Oh yeah I forgot Amsterdam! That must be the most tolerating place on earth, walk down a street with naked women in the window, where else can you do that?

Tolerating doesn't sound quite right! tolerant I should of put there lol. I think alot of people agree that Islam is causing alot of problems. It is only the minority who spoil it for everybody else.

Well, I'm from Amsterdam, but it's surely isn't the most tolerant city (anymore). If there was any tolerance, then it was more because of an "I don't care what you do, as long as you don't bother me" attitude. This has advantages, but the disadvantage is that if things are not going well with you nobody cares.
Since about a few years, extreme islam is starting to grow in the Netherlands. You can't walk hand in hand as a gay couple anymore. You won't get shot, but islamic people will shout at you. If you walk with a skirt that is too short for their taste, they will call you a whore, etc.
No AMS is not tolerant anymore

The problem is, and whether people accept it or not, all people are a little bit racist, it's part of the human condition.

A brilliant example of this, and hypocrisy coupled with irony, was a "scandal" in the UK on a program called "Big Brother", there was some bullying and arguably borderline racism by a moron called "Jade Goody" a fat idiot.. Now whilst her bullying was unquestionable the alleged racism spark a huge row, that ended up as a near international incident as the victim was an Indian Bollywood "star"..

What amused me was that at the "final" hundreds of Asian (British people of Indian roots) turned out to support the Bollywood "star" - these Asian people came out to support her BECAUSE she was Asian, not because she was "good" but based almost entirely on the fact that she was Indian.

Now am I the only one who see's the irony in this...

We are all a bit racist, it's all about just how racist and the methods we used to exercise it..

EDIT: Tolerance of other races has ultimately led to suicide bombers in the UK, one of the "freeist" countries in the world, now a hotbed on Muslim fundamentalist and terrorists...Tolerance is not always a good thing.

"Harald C" : Wow I didnt realise that was the case, that is really interesting. I hope that trend doesnt hit the UK, Muslim (Pakistanis mostly) have already caused us enough problems

I would say Canada, it's not only vary tolerant it is becoming vary immoral, it also harbours unwanted criminals, and allows them to immigrate regularly, it's not such a nice country any more, we are also the bleeding heart capital of the world, our governments have become corrupt, and our freedom of speech is dwindling, I have lived in this country for 70 years now and it gets worse every day.

USA is very tolerant....but I've heard that NO PLACE beats Amsterdam when it comes to tolerance
