I still have the walk-through as an opportunity to give my complaints to the developer

Is it a condo? If it is they will fix what ever is wrong and depending on what State you live in for how long.

Walk through the condo and look up and down every wall. Look for any imperfection and make a list. Give it to the Project manager. He will probably get this punch list fixed as soon as possible.

If you don't catch something he/they are still liable so don't lose too much sleep. Most states have a minimum of 1 year and if you make a complaint and it comes back the clock keeps on ticking.

If you don't feel confident see if you have a friend in construction to walk through it with you.

New construction can be full of problems. Corner's cut, etc. The builder is always trying to keep their costs at a minimum and that is often a trade-off for quality.

Is this covered by a builder's warranty? If so, it may not be necessary to conduct an inspection. If not, you might want to think seriously about paying for one.

Yes, you should get an inspection even if the hosue is new. YOU don't know if the builder screwed up on something or something was done wrong.

do you get a new home owners warranty if not get the inspection done

ALWAYS get the home inspected.
