This is the ring that sometimes appears around the full moon. It is not an object of any sort, but a visual effect. The appearent radius of the moon doggy is about ten times the diameter of the moon itself. It looks to our eyes like a perfect halo of light surrounding the moon. Also it can mean To be so high that it feels like you're on the moon

The dog eye was so big it was like a moon so they called him moon dog, to extent dat we call my cousin moon dog cuz her eyes REAL big. I got the expression from a movie
