The blue states are richer than the red states. The most richest and best cities within the united states are democratic. (you can research it the blue states are richer than the red ones) The democratic party also includes most if not all of the celebrities and people such as bill gates, and oprah. The richest cities such as San Francisco embraces very strong liberal and democratic views and is a leading city in biotech and stem cell research (as well as New York). Most southern states which contains the highest proverty rates in the country all lean republican and are mostly red. Most people that live in trailer parks and small towns lean republican as well. It is without a doubt that the southern states are the biggest concentration of republicans within the country and they are also the highest among proverty rates. The media also embraces and love liberal and democratic views (the media is rich beyond belief). Why are southern states the poorest in the country and mostly republic?

The poorer states tend to have an inferior education system due to no fault of their own, however many people grow up knowing very little about politics and world affairs, thus becoming reactionary and insular in their political beliefs. Hence more likely to vote Republican.

Interesting interpretation of demographics.
It is worth noting that according to registration, Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than 2 to 1. And - again according to registration - I suspect you would find the average income significantly higher among Republicans.
What happens, of course, is that when it comes time for an election, Democrats are unable to convince a majority of the people that they have a program worth supporting - and often enough, are unable to field a viable candidate. I know many people who are Democrats who consistenly vote Republican becauase they cannot support the Democratic candidate.
But as you point out, it is interesting the despite the number of prominent show business people who support Democratic candidates - they still seem unable to consistently win.
Maybe the public has figured out that being "famous" does not mean you are necessarily smart. Same thing with being rich.

They were the poorest when they were run by Democrats too. And segregated besides! Until fairly recently the southern economy was primarily agricultural. You don't get rich farming. As for money influencing my political stance, yes, it does. This time around I'm going 3rd party. Whichever one is on the ballot. I'm sick and tired of the millionaires in BOTH parties. I'm going to vote for someone who can relate to ME from now on!
