Okay, this may be much but this will help you a little more.
The Respiratory System consists of the nose, thorat, trachea(windpipe), lungs, and the bronchial tubes inside your lungs.

Your question is about the trachea.

The Trachea is also known as The Windpipe, which branches into 2 main passages called The Bronchi. The Bronchi branch into smaller and smaller tubes called The Bronchioles. At the end of those are air sacs.

So to break this down more, The Job for the Trachea is the tube that brings oxygen to your lungs and carbon dioxide out.
