How about the new Yamaha FJR 1300? I didn't remember to check about the EFI but maybe the new Vmax has it ???
Went back and checked, Vmax is carbed.
Suzuki Boulevard M50 (800cc) and M90 (1400cc) are both injected and shaft drive.

Being an owner of a belt driven Yamaha Roadstar Warrior I am okay with the belt. Less maintenance than a chain but more maintenance than drive shaft. You will lose a little performance in some areas with a drive shaft. The only thing i don't like is it seems to me that on the shaft driven rides, i can feel the side with the shaft. Kind of hard to explain. Being used to the chain and belt rides, i cant seem to get used to a shaft. So, YES. the shaft drive is reliable. I just dont like them.
