I'm from England and want to go travelling in America. I know I can go there for 90 days without a visa, if I were to come back to England how long would I have to wait before I could go out to the states again?

I just spent nine months out there working with my old company- they wouldn't get me a work visa so spent a lot of time travelling back and forth.
Strictly speaking all you need to do is leave and come back again, my quickest turn around was a weekend and they had no problem with that.
I would suggest that you don't push it up to 90 days exactly, just in case something happens and you can't travel back to England etc. as you will then have real problems ever getting back into the US again!
Just one warning... that if you do do it, the immigration people can get a little more feisty than normal if they see you spending so much time in the US... but there's not a lot you can do about that apart from being a little more patient than normal with even more delightful questions...

There is no time limit between visits from the UK to the US. However, if you have stayed in the US for the maximum 90 days and you return too quickly, the border guards will raise eyebrows. They may or may not give you the 90 days for your second stay (the length of visa is at the discretion of the border guard). If you return to the US too quickly having stayed the max length of time twice before, you will probably be questioned.

As a rule of thumb, in any 12 month period, you should try to stay the max 90 days only once. You should never stay the maximum duration of your visa more than twice in any given 12 month period.

I think it is 90 days per years, (many countries I've been to follow that rule), but not sure about the U.S/ England.

I'm not sure, but please ignore the person who said we don't 'take kindly'.

I don't know anyone who wouldn't welcome you here.
