As I am sitting here I feel faint and just plain strange. My cervical mucas has increased a great deal and my cervix is high and semi firm and closed. I am on day 39 of my cycle (I had a long cycle last month, but that was the first time. ) So I truely don't know how long my cycle is. I took a test 20min ago and neg. but I just feel weird. Anyone have a similar situation. I am hopeful, but very disapointed right now. How long is too long for a cycle.

Don't be disappointed! Sometimes it takes a full week after your missed period for the pregnancy hormone to be strong enough for a positive test. If you really want to know you can go have a blood test and they will be able to tell you for sure. I really think that many women just know when they are pregnant so if you have a strong feeling that you are, there is a good chance you are. Look for other signs too, ie nesting (cleaning and organising a lot) fatigue, nausea (though that is usually caused by the pregnancy hormone and if there isn't enough to show a positive test then there wouldn't be enough to make you feel sick)...also the hormone doubles every two days so you could always wait two more days and test again. **and just to comment on hollywood's answer, god "gives" crack whores babies...so there is NO logic to that!

Stop wasting your money on test for at least 1 more month. In the mean time eat right, don't do drugs or alcohol and stop telling friends and family you might be pregnant. Don't ask every ones opinion. You are trying to make yourself pregnant and will be let down if you get all hyped up about a possibility. Just wait and let time tell.

you could still be pregnant, you just may not have enuf hormones to show that you are pregnant! or it could be that you are pregnant you just ovulated later this month. Take another test in about a week. This happened to me and I was pregnant but I only found out 2 weeks after my missed period because of the hormone levels. good luck--I also had a increase in my cervical mucus. Try takign your basal temp to see if it's high. That's a good indication, if it's high and remains high for afew days you are pregnant.

I just had the same thing happen to me I was feeling very faint and not good took a test it was neg got my period today I think that thier is a bug going around alot of people are feeling that way. so I hope you feel better

I can be your hormones. Sometimes I am 30 days, sometimes I am 25. I also learned that each ovary can have a different cycle. Wait, soon you will know.

20 minutes ago? You need to take the test when you first wake up and go to the bathroom. If its still negative give it a couple days and if you still feel wierd go into the doctors.
