Its time to get out of this state and find a new life somewhere else, these storms(hurricanes, tornadoes) most recent Lady Lake, FL are not even safe in Central Florida, like people once thought. Real estate prices should be dropping who wants to be around a high risk area like Florida?

I live in central Florida. We don't like hurricanes, of course, but of all the natural disasters you could get, I would prefer a hurricane. The weathermen give you days of warning to prepare for it. Even with the best preparations, you could get hurt, but for the most part, many people sit it out until the last minute, and then it is too late.

I would love to see the price of property drop, but if that ever happened, some investor would just swoop in and take it all for a song, and hike it back up again.

Tornados are very unusual in Florida. I would hate living in tornado alley up north, yet those people stay there. At least we have wonderful weather when we aren't preparing for hurricanes. (But I guess you'd get an argument from anyone attending the Super Bowl!)

Well, Chicken Little, it's like this:

Storms are a statistical thing if you live in a place like Florida. That means sometimes there are none and sometimes there are bunches. It's like flipping a coin -- you might get heads four times in a row, but the odds of flipping a coin and getting heads is still 50-50 on each flip. It doesn't matter what happened last time.

As to everyone thinking Central Florida was safe...only people with very short memories think that.
