Well I am straight so I can't speak from personal experience, but I imagine it must hurt. It hurts when you are rejected for any reason. I am often rejected because I have learning disabilities and ADD, so even though I'm not gay I know what rejection and exclusion is all about. That's one reason why I'm so passionate about supporting gay rights.

A little. It actually depends on who the person is, I would be more hurt if my family rejected me for being gay because I love them but somebody who I don't know or aquintances I don't care about them rejecting me because that lets me know that I shouldn't be around them.

Not as much anymore as it used to. I've been through the coming out drama with everyone I care about. Now, the only rejections I get are from new acquaintances, and to hell with them if they don't approve of my life.

It doesn't hurt me, because they are missing out on knowing a great person. Their lose! The fact that I'm a lesbian is only a small part of who I am.
