From what we see and hear in the media, Hussein kept the terrorists out. He was a dictator who had people killed, but kept his country under control. Now Iraq is wide open to terrorists, tens of thousands of people are injured, dead or homeless. If there were WMD, the U.S. did not find them. There has never been a link proved between 911 and Hussein and for unknown reasons, the search for bin Laden seems nonexistent. The U.S.A. is now one of the most hated societies in the world.

Exactly where they were in 2001, nowhere, surrounded, sanctioned into a corner, but 3093 American soldiers and 30,000 Iraqi civilians would be alive, there would be no Al Qaeda in Iraq, because Hussein hated them; he didn't want to share his power with anyone, and Iraq would have their educational system, water, electric power, countless buildings and many citizens that would not hate us. We would have 400 billion dollars for our infrastructure and much less debt and the respect of the world for getting Bin Laden.

Great question I have the answer before North Korea got the Bomb their leader was a warmongering psycho. now we are in negotiations with him. Where would we be.... In negotiations. There were no terrorists bases there were no WMD. I hope to god Iran gets the bomb quick so we won't invade them. I think the whole idea that the bomb may fall into the wrong hands is pretty nutty given that Iran wants the bomb and with the entire GDP of a major oil producing nation they cant simply buy one or get one somehow?? Why is it so hard for them to get the bomb? IF its that hard for them I dont see how Al queda could:
A) get one
B) float it over here and detonate it

No different than it was in the summer of 2001. I would not take ANYTHING said by Bush as accurate. There were no WMD programs in place since Desert Storm...and there are none now.

If the USA had never liberated Iraq from Saddam, he would still be oppressing his people, killing people, harboring terrorists and seeking WMDs.
