from the bottom pull up a length of thread, stick the needle back thru about an 8th of an inch next to where the thread comes up , then pull thru , till it makes a loop. n shaped . at the top of the loop ( when laid flat) pull the needle up thru the material , over the loop , then down thru the material almost in the same stop where it came up. - pulling tight will make a an upside down v shape , so keep it loose enough so you can even out the loop sides to make a petal shape.
