It is in a 1967 Chevy Impala. I did everything correctly, but it is stuck!?!

With the key still in the lock.
The key in the ON possition.
The lock pin pushed in.
It should slide out????
I think............Maybe the paperclip is not strong enough to push the lock pin in. If you can't push the lock pin in, the tumbler will not come out.
There may be years of crud in it. Try using something a little bigger and stronger. A small nail perhaps.

Try turning the steering wheel one way and the other. Sometimes those lock steering wheels won't let you turn the key enough to get it out, or sometimes to start the car.
