really, didn't a Democrat senator recently just say that Obama "was a smart, clean black guy?" and didn't the same senator say that "you can only be an indian to work in a donut store?"
And which President appointed the first two African-Americans Secretary of State?
The fact of the matter is that there are racists in both parties. Just look at the unions. there are filled with nothing more than white males who hate "foreign" or "japanese competition." And who is also leading the protectionists stance? Look at Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio
Additionally, what democrat senator from West Virginia used to be a Grand keagle of the KKK and still hasn't renounced his activities?
Or what former Democratic President said that it was the Israeli's to blame for the problems in the middle east and that "there are too many Jews on the National Holocaust Museum board of directors?"
Furthermore, what Democratic President allegedly said after he signed the 1964 Civil Rights act, "I'll have those n$#$@^s voting Democrat for years?"

I was gonna comment, but I see that my fellow republicans have pretty much said all that needs to be said...
The Dems are racist in the most evil and subtle of ways... by making minorities believe they are for them while keeping them "in their place" with welfare, quotas and affirmative action. Take the Katrina issue for example.
A liberal state with a liberal governor and a liberal mayor. Their local governments refused to declare a state of emergency and because of that Bush couldn't enact the national guard. They said that the situation was "under control" when the had no pkan at all. Who go screwed? The poor minorities in the area. Why? Because the democrats have them so used to hand outs and being given everything that they were waiting for someone to come by and save them from the storm.
No look at Florida, a republican state that get's its but kicked every year by hurricanes. You never see problems like that there, unless it's a level 4 or 5 which you can't really do anything about. The people of these states know they need to get themselves out of harms way. The government has real plans in place to evacuate those who can't get out.
So who is more racist? I think history will show the Dems as the racist party.

I gave looloo a thumbs down. Due to the same faulty logic that says republicans are racist. See I can give him a thumbs down because he is just wrong. But, thanks looloo, for proving the point that people base assumptions on lack of knowledge, not evidence. The logic is if some people are racists and some of those people support republican policy, then republicans are racists. And people base this conclusion, because that is the conclusion they want. Doesn't matter that some of the same racists support democratic policy.
Point is I didn't give looloo a thumbs down because I'm gay, just because he is wrong. Now if people are gay, and then gave him a thumbs down, looloo may assume I'm gay, because I'm in the group of people that gave him a thumbs down. But he would be wrong about that, too.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm sure the answers to your question are very predictable. First, the outrage, then the denial, then they'll bring up Condi Rice and Colin Powell. If you really want to know the makeup of the Republican leadership, just pull up a photo of the current and past Repub Congress & Senate - preferably a group photo.

Republicans believe in equal opportunity for all people, regardless of race, religion or gender. Affirmative action and quotas go against these beliefs, in that they favor one group over another.
President Bush has produced the most diverse cabinet in American history. It was a Republican president that ended slavery, and Republicans that fought Jim Crow and the KKK.
The only reason it seems that Republicans are more racist is because people like Howard Dean and Jessie Jackson both play the race card constantly and say Republicans are racist.

its you, a better explantion is that, its just that they dont favor tax and spend welfare programs many miniorities think they are entitled to. they favor tax incentive and jobs. spin doctors like george stephanopolus and the hillary people coined the phrase mean spirited republicans in an effort to make it look like the entitlement programs should be a right and not a privelege of minorites. apparently from a liberal standpoint and the ...razor thin...mandate of 2006, it worked.

One minute they're blaming the democrats for keeping blacks "down", and the next their screaming bloody murder about the Mexicans.....and Muslims.....and Gays....and everyone else who doesn't fit into their perfect little mold.
......and they're the Godly party?
Someone wrote that the Republican party believes in equality for everyone. If this were true they wouldn't be ....well, you get it.
