Get it to a mechanic and find out what is really going on. Please note that power steering and your radiator are not in any way connected, so if you have a leak on something going into the radiator, it isn't power steering.

Hi before you do anything the first thing to do is identify the problem. It sounds as if the problem could be a leak from the rubber seal. If this is the case go to www.goodgaragescheme.com put in your postcode and you will find a garage that will be able to treat the car with a Forte power steering treatment. This treatment will remove the hard lacquer that builds up arond the seals and re vitalises the rubber beneath. This can be done for a fraction of the cost of more major repairs.

firstly DO NOT drain and fill up with brake fluid like someone here has said , you need to use ATF ( automatic transmission fluid ). if your car has a power steering fluid cooler ( some have ) it would be by the radiator and that would explain where the leak is coming from , the easiest way to find out is to run the engine and look under the bonnet and have a freind to turn the steering full lock and if u have got a leak you will see the fluid spraying out due to the pressure . hop this helps

if your power steering is joint to the radiator then you have got a problem. it sounds like the seals have gone on the steering rack or the pump is no good

PLEASE PLEASE do not pay any attention to markrichk he is talking out of his butt and in doing so putting you and other road users in great danger. Do not empty the PAS and put anything else in its place

It's a safety related item here and you would be best advised to take it in to your local garage and at the very least get it checked out and an estimate of the repair

Don't mess around when it comes to your safety

If anyone else thinks it's a good idea to tell someone to mess with their car without knowing the consequences then I will be registering it as abuse
