I am sure you are just inciting a riot by asking this on Super Bowl Sunday...but here is my answer...
It's the "League Cup" match...no matter what sport it is...American Football, Football, Rugby, Baseball, Ice Hockey, Cricket, Lacross, etc...it is NOT the same as FIFA World Cup.
FIFA World Cup is a "WORLD" competition that includes the USA.
These are two different competitions, so it is not right (and fair) to compare the two.
Now that I have gotten the definition out of the way...Here is my opinion:
I like Footbal (not American Football). BUT I believe that any championship game deserves the same respect. It is the crowning achievement of the league for that year. The winner here goes on to boast until next time. There is nothing lame about that. If it is lame, then why play competitive sports at all.
It's like me asking if the English Premiership championship match is lame compared with the FIFA World Cup...
It's two separate events...why do UK people care so much ManU can win or not? I am sure most people in Italy don't...nor do most in Germany.
Just my two cents.

That is a bit like asking if the Fifa World Cup is a lame event compared to the Australien Open. You cannot compare the championship for a single league to an event where teams from all over the world come to paly in. A better comparison would bet eh superbowl to the FA cup perhaps.
In the end, I play both soccer and football, and can say definitevly that are both excellent sports. American football does have immensly more appeal in the United States then soccer (at least for the moment), and so the superbowl is a big deal. In the end STOP TRYING TO COMPARE THEM.

Discover now the best sport betting system: http://sport-betting-tips.checkhere.info
Too many people think of sports betting as just something they do in their past time. However, many people can see the potential that exists if you manage to have the right sports betting strategy and correct approach to betting in general. Are you sick of losing? Interested in finding out how to turn your luck around? Do you want to know which sports betting strategies stand to help you make the most from your betting?
Any good strategy should allow you to place bets based on a systematic method. Of course there is always a random element or so called luck involved, but betting is all about stacking the odds in your favor. There should be no guess work involved or bets placed based on gut feelings. Betting is a business and it should be treated like one. Any money you use for betting needs to be separate from money you use for your daily life or anything else. How can you possibly expect to follow a strategy with money that was originally set aside to pay next week's rent with? You can't. This will help you to focus on the task of betting and remove any emotional strings attached to the money.
So what makes a good strategy or what should you look for in a strategy before you decide to implement it? Any good strategy needs to have a positive expectancy. This means that in the long run you will win. The hit rate of the strategy needs to be above 50% for you to be able to profit in the long run. An ideal win rate should be between 60 to 70%, because you will need to cover the fees and other expensive associated with betting. Is it feasible to expect you'll be able to find a system that has a 100% win rate? No, it isn't. The best you can do is find a system that has a positive expectancy and stick with it. In the long run you will make more money than you can possibly lose.
Keep whatever information and news you have about the teams as up to date as possible. Any changes in the teams makeup or factors that affect how the players play will great affect the potential outcome of a match. Make sure that you are constantly up to date on every aspect that affects the potential outcome of a match. Information is the key to winning at sports betting.

Not in America it isn't. Americans love their football. To call the Super Bowl a lame event is pretty rude. I don't think your World Cup is lame. Soccer is a foreign game to us, even though there are soccer teams in the US, the game has never really taken off in the US. You are right though, soccer is the game for the rest of the world and draws huge crowds of fans and followers, so the World Cup is probably rightfully a more important event, to the rest of the world. But, I do know that several countries send their sportcasters to the US to broadcast the game back to their country. So the Super Bowl is a fun event for those countries to watch. .

Yes, soccer is a worldwide game, I agree.
But the Superbowl to the big fans in the US certainly isn't lame.
Neither FIFA nor the Superbowl are lame. They're just 2 different sports.

i have a simple answer: NO
the super bowl is not lame. why would so many people ask about the super bowl on y answers if it was lame.
and the world cup is not lame either. people in the u.s. don't appreciate the world cup or soccer enough. it seems like if some one doesn't play soccer, they think that watching it is boring.
just think about the world cup finals this year: a head butt here a shoot out there. soccer is an exciting sport if you know what is happening and you know the rules.
i just think that you don't appreciate sports enough to like them.

Well the SuperBowl is only between two teams. I prefer the World Cup because there's 32 teams. I watch both and they're cool.

Soccer is a lot tougher and very entertaining. In football all you
need to do is throw a ball to the farthest person you see. Its basically rugby just with players all dolled up. Soccer is tougher,
you need to have good accuracy, power, and you have to last for one hour and a half to two hours on the field. The soccer stars make it look easier than it is. I love to play soccer and football but soccer's just the most ...... challenging of the two. You don't just kick and it goes into the back of the net. SOCCER IS NOT JUST A GIRL SPORT.....it is also a boys sport. If its such a girls sport then girls are a lot more skillful than boys because soccer is a hard sport. Soccer is celebrated all over the world, football.... just the U.S. Many enjoy Rugby more than Football because its more original. In my eyes football has to stop every 30 seconds in the game but in soccer its a game that lasts for 45 min goes through half time then start over for another 45 min. (American) football and Soccer are both great well known loved sports but Soccer is truly the better one.

I honestly don't get why soccer isn't as popular in the states as it is in like Europe and pretty much the rest of the world. I think it is one of the most played sports in the country, and yet no one really watches it professionally. As far as football goes, I love playing it, but watching it is about as exciting as watching paint dry. I don't want to see grown men throwing things and running into eachother. I don't find it entertaining. At all.
