Where someone is normal until you say one seemingly trivial thing, then they freak out. Every time you mention this word/phrase, they get very upset but won't say why. It's more of an angry reaction than a fearful one.

MIght be obsessive compulsive; victim of abuse with post traumatic stress reactions (your word may be associated with some sort of abuse situation that has not yet been consciously digested); some people have very low tolerance threshholds and react to anything - like many ADHD people I know. I guess it depends on the word. If its profanity the person may have a legitimate reason for their reaction, especially if they are very religious. It the word is benign (like the word tree) then something is going on there, at least that would be my guess.

Fears of the Unknown., It did happen to me for a while, time ago, as people will reject to think I was able to use correctly the words I was trying to learn in English, one of such words was Analysis.

I think the term might be "lack of communication". You really should ask why you get the reaction you get before you end up getting your lights put out!

yes, it's called "supreme need to read *the complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom* so the person won't spend a lifetime not understanding how his /her mind and emotions operate, and will learn how to properly overcome this "challenge". ;-)
