I've never been married but I've been with the same guy for 3 years and when we first got together everybody said he would hurt me, they said I was too much of a flirt to be in a relationship, that we both would hurt eachother but so far so good. I'm not comparing our relationship with the long relationships because I think it's awesome that in this day and time people can stay together so long because it's very rare now-a-days but these 3 years have been wonderful and we stikc together through everything and now everybody is changing their opinion and saying they think were going to get married and his mom even said last night that if he was to ever get married she couldn't ask for a better daughter-in-law! :D We haven't been together forever but we have exceeded everyones expectations!

Yes!!! I've been with my high school sweetie, through thick and thin, since we were 17. We broke up a lot and dated other people, I've left,he's left but we're fine now. We've been together for over 20 years and married for 14.
The people who said that we'd never last are ,for the most part, divorced and often for the second time.

Well, no one said it outloud to us, but I know everyone was thinking it. My wife is 15 yrs older than me so I think everyone thought it was just a fling, but we are happily married and have been together for almost 6 years. We have never broken up or had a fight that lasted more than a few minutes. We are best freinds, lovers and partners in life. We have made it against many odds.

Yes. I meet my husband when I was 17 and only knew him 2 months before we got married. I was barely 18. We have married 26 years now.

Yes- my husband and I were high school sweethearts and we married when we were 21. We had nothing and so many people said we wouldn't make it. 24 years later - we are still together.
