I am going to be majoring in music (vocal performance) at Florida State University next year. They claim to be the 5th best music school in the nation. I am curious to know some of the other top music schools. I've googled it several times and I can't seem to find the information I want. Can anyone help me? Thanks! :)

The book -- Fiske Guide to Colleges -- has a listing of top/strongest private and public schools for a few majors, including the arts, and performing arts. It isn't a ranking per se and doesn't include all schools in the country, but should give you some perspective. You can find the book at almost any library.

Go to any bookstore and look at the college guides. They usually have one that focus mainly on fine arts majors. One of the top schools that I know of is Juilliard in New York. www.juilliard.edu. Hope that helps. Good luck with the college search.
