When Cena first changed his personality to a hip-hop wrestler, people began to notice him. With his nice theme song and the raps that he did, people began to like him. Now, some people probably did not like him because he was "trying to act black". How coudl you not talk slang when thats where you grew up? Remember when there was the 2005 Draft Lottery, Jericho was doing his highlight reel and was going to have the first lottery pick from RAW, and it was WWE champ Cena? I have never in my time of watching WWE heard anyone get cheered as loudly as Cena. But then Cena cut down the raps, stopped goin around sayin "you cant see me" and around WM22, his popularity went down. Now, I think that he rose to the top way too quickly. I used to like him a lot, but never was my favorite(Eddie Guerrero is) but now I don't care that much about him, though I think he is still alright. If he went back to rappin against his opponent and came back with the basic thuganomics, then I be interested.

hey, JohnCenaAndHBKLover, I know Eddie is dead, but he is still my favorite. Have you ever heard the saying,"You don't realize it until it's gone"?...yeah

I dont think its that his character changed that caused him to get less popular. Its more that he has been the top dog in wwe for almost 2 years. People probably got sick of seeing him in the main event every night. Remember when Triple H was champ all the time and then he lost the title at mania 21 and laid low till mania 22 and was became very popular. If Cena did the same thing for awhile he would probably get more cheers

PSSST, lean in real close here,

It's all fake. The "draft" is fake because no non-professional college atheletes are drafted. The draft, just like John Cena's "personality" are all created by a marketing company.
Pro wrestling is simply soap operas for boys.
The sooner you realize this, the easier the rest of the world will be to understand.

I think he has been a good guy for way too long. I think it's a matter of time until he is back to the thuganomics stuff. But this time as a heel (bad guy)
His slow rhymes weren't exactly rap, but they were funny. (His cd is actually surprisingly good though)

He had to get away from all that, and be the military guy to get attention for his movie release "The Marine."

Well in wrestling its all about time i think. One minute you can be on top then after a while ppl get tired of the ole same stuff. I like Cena at first but i am tired of him now.

When John Cena turned face, he went from the top to the bottom. He was great as a heel.
