I have read the manual for the WET54G and find no were that it is capable of range extension of a wireless network.

As far as I can tell it is only used as a bridge/client. It can be plugged into a ethernet enabled device, such as a Playstation or Xbox or a ethernet printer, and connect those devices to a wireless network. Or it can be used with another bridge to allow two seperate networks to share resources.

If you want a Linksys Range Extender you need a device that can use Repeater mode, like the Linksys WRE54G.
