biro is ink, right? Sorry...I'm an american....use cheap quality hair spray..has a higher alcohol content. saturate the fabric, putting some scrap cloth underneath...then start blotting the nap side of the fabric....keep spraying and blotting...then launder as normal

There's a product called 'Stain Devil' available from supermarkets - it's sold in different varieties, and each variety copes with a different type of stain. There is one which deal with biro ink. Just have a look in a larger Sainsbury's or Tesco.

rub gently with vanish then place kitchen roll over area to lift. then wash as normal
