you have to just take a deep breath and say to yourself "this is something i really want to do so i'm going to have to get over this fear"; believe me i know b/c i am very nervous when i have to perform in front of ppl and i just did it for the first time a couple of days ago; i was shaking when i first started but i did it anyways. I felt good after I did it though, and ppl said I did a good job, so u have 2 just go for it

You know i had the same problem but now im majoring in musical theatre to become a professional actor. I had stage fright. well the way i got over this is to act like im down there in the audience, and im watching someone else on stage. Ok now when your in the audience watching someone up on the stage singing you dont think badly of them do you? you dont act like there stupid. Well people knopw that your just doing what your supposed to be doing, your doing your job. and there only gonna be lookin at you for a couple of minutes, soon they will have forgot about you and they will be watching someone else sing. This is what my musical theatre professor/director told me it really does work, good luck and i hope everything goes good

the best way to get over the fear of singing in public would be to start off small and work your way up! like have little gigs and just preten it is just yuo and your frinds up on stage! i do that for school it works 4 me! i hope this is good enough lol

Im a guitar player/singer soloist and I used to have the same problem. Easiest way to over come it is to focus on one thing in the room you are in that is as far away as you see, once you are comfortable with that distant object, you can start getting closer to yourself.

Take speech classes! You start giving presentations of class assignments in front of the whole class and they even ask you questions bout your presentation and you sure have to be prepare, you are the teacher at that time!

The more you do it, the less nervous you'll be. Keep it up, you obviously have talent! I was nervous when I began on radio, then TV, then producing... after a short time, it's as easy as drinking water!
