Hello, English is not my mother language though I am good in it.

However, I am in a bad need to know the English term that describs this.
"You know when some products are very essential to citizens in a country (like oil for example) the country controls the prices of such products and sometimes they sell those products with less than its actual costs".

Can you tell me what do you name:
1. Pdoucts that their prices are controlled by the governement?
2. products that governments sometimes have to sell it with less than the actual price (less than their costs).
3. What is the word "subsidized" means? is it to refer to point number 2. like to say "subsidized products"?

Thnx in advance
Hossam

Yes, subsidizing means a government helps pay part of the purchase price of something needed (called a staple) to help either the purchaser (who otherwise could not afford the product) or the producer (who otherwise would go out of business due to low demand or poor purchasers). A staple good is any good that is a basic necessity of people, such as flour or bread.
This was done particularly in communist countries. For example, the government of the Soviet Union used to subsidize the purchase of bread. The object was to keep the people happy, so they would not think about revolting.

I would say Hossam that products that are government controlled are rare form of communism. Subsidized are products that are too expensive to compete in world markets so they are sold below market price and the government pays the manufacturer the difference. This is not a good practice since it leads to hyperinflation inflation in the long run.
