Oh, we don't need the four corners phrase to show that the writers of the Bible were unaware of the physical reality of the earth. The Earth is stable: 1 Chronicles 16:30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. The Sky is a solid thing, spread over the Earth Job 37:18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? The Earth is on a foundation and doesn't move: Hebrews 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: Suggestive of a flat Earth: Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him,

If you were to peel off the surface of a globe & lay it flat , there would be corners; this would have four points then what the statement is commenting is how big the earth is, and how far away those four corners are.

This may seem odd but did you know the Great Pyramid is in the exact centre of Egypt and the land mass to the North East is the same as the land mass to the North West, the land mass to the South East is the same as the land mass to the South West. In other words it divides the worlds land mass into 4 equal parts. It can't be done from any other place, only at the Pyramid. Weren't the Egyptians clever. So I guess you cand find the four corners of the world from there.

it originated when people thought the world was flat, not round. So the four corners are the four furthest places you can go, then fall off of the earth. Just think of a map, and all of that goodness.
