My two-year old got a hold of an ink pen and I have two ink blotches the size of half dollars in my beige carpet. Is there anything I can use to get it out?

Spilled ink doesn't necessarily mean curtains for your carpet. Watch stains disappear with this simple solution.
Instructions

* STEP 1: Saturate the ink stain with hair spray.
* STEP 2: Allow the stain to fully dry.
* STEP 3: Mix a solution of one part water to one part white vinegar.
* STEP 4: Pour the solution on the stain.
* STEP 5: Brush the area lightly with a medium-bristle brush, preferably a toothbrush.
* STEP 6: Continue brushing until the stain is gone.
* STEP 7: Blot the area with a dry, white cloth.
* STEP 8: Flood the area with water.
* STEP 9: Blot again.
* STEP 10: Allow to dry.

Tips & Warnings

* Always test the cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous part of the carpet before using on a large area.
* Brush from the outer edges of the stain inward to prevent the stain from spreading.
* Use a white cloth rather than a colored one to prevent any dyes from coming off on the carpet.

Pour rubbing alcohol onto a white cotton rag. Never pour the alcohol directly onto the stain, and be careful not to over saturate your rag. Carefully blot the stain, being sure not to smear the ink. Don't rub the carpet, and don't apply strong pressure. Change your cloth as often as needed, adding more alcohol each time. Work until no more ink is absorbed by the rag. Place a fan close to where the stain was, which will help speed up the drying.

Progressive Liberal, You are a jackass.

As for carpets, I scrubbed my carpet with oxy clean about 10 times and the ink finally came out. Good luck.
