The best, and most effective way to control bed bugs is fire. Some municipalities seem to have a problem with this solution, and use terms like arson, and felony. Check with your local officials, and mortgage company before attempting this solution.

Malathion will kill bed bugs BUT malathion is not classified for indoor use especially where it comes in direct contact with humans.

It probably can kill bed bugs...but really it's not worth it to expose yourself to that level of toxic chemical! I can't recall the exact toxicity of Malathion, but it's enough to cause serious health concerns to you, your pets and everyone else...especially if you are sleeping on the mattress every night..or breathing in chemical residues.
I suggest you find a safer method.

definitely can kill bed bugs!
definitely not for indoor use!
the odour you will definitely can't withstand!
skin contact, a definite no no!
definitely for outdoor and garden use!
